art shoooow part 2

So the Bad Channels art show was last night. It was pretty fun, met a lot of cool people. So many more people turned out than I expected! O_O It got so crowded in the showing area that I got claustrophobic and had to go sit in the hallway most of the night, haha. But all in all, it was a good time. It was sort of inspiring to see my stuff hanging up and having people look at it.

My only real gripe is that we didn't get to see the movie because everyone else decided to go out to the bar at the end of the show instead. I was kinda upset for my friend Mike because he put so much effort into this show and had to pull strings at the theatre and to get the film ready, and everybody just ran out on it. But it didn't seem to bother him too much, so whatever. What's so great about bars?? I don't get it heh.

so i got my first art show under my belt! Fuck yeah.

Art Shooooooow!!!

Look, I know no one probably reads this thing, but I figured I'd give this a shot so that I can say that I did.

My friend Mike is putting on an art show that's a tribute to cult films, and it's the first real showing my art's ever been in. I only have one piece since there's going to be lots of artists and they need to conserve space for everyone. Anyway, here's my piece. I chose Faster Pussycat Kill Kill because at the time I did this I had just seen it, and it really stuck with me and I wanted to do fan art of it. I love the characters, and how crazy the plot gets.

If you're in the Detroit/Royal Oak area, you should come on out and say hi! It's mostly people I'm friends with and they're all really cool. And I guess if you buy art during the show you'll get to see a special midnight screening of City of Lost Children with us, the artists. Here's the info:
